ZUMBA

lauren and i decided to join this zumba party in order to get physically fit. and it FINALLY came true. laughing while sweating you say? zumba's objective is basically helping people to get fit while enjoying..which they do through dancing. it was really a hardcore workout. and was fun too. i honestly did not expect it to be of so much fun itself and not just because i was with lauren. we sweated and laughed a lot. for folks wanting to lose some weight or even just having the desire to dance the night away, why don't you try zumba-ing.

breakfast ideas

I am crazy about yoghurt! both delicious and healthy! "san kapa!"-(how do you translate this filipino term in english?)

So here's a breakfast to help you stay fit. let me introduce to you guys, some ideas of yoghurt breakfast. yummmm!

berry greek yogurt
berry greek yogurt

pinterest is surely addicting! i am drooling over our ipad (i usually use the app) every time I see these food. anyway, yoghurts are affordable but home-made food are still the best. agree? here's one way how you can make your own yoghurt that i learned from ideasmag.

Makes: 1 litre
Preparation time:
 5 minutes
Cooking time:
 20-25 minutes

• 1 litre full-cream milk
• 45ml plain yoghurt (with live cultures)
• 10ml sugar
• fresh berries, stewed fruit or fruit purée of your choice

1 Heat the milk in a saucepan. Stir to prevent it sticking. Use a candy thermometer to read the temperature. The milk needs to reach 85°C, but should not go above 100°C.

2 Reduce the heat and simmer for 20-25 minutes, making sure that the temperature stays above 85°C.

3 Remove from the heat and stir in the sugar. Put the pot into a large bowl filled with ice water and stir until the mixture cools to 43°C. Remove from the water bath and stir in the yoghurt immediately.

4 Pour into a sterilised jar and seal. Leave the jar in a warm place for 10-12 hours and do not disturb it.

5 If the weather is cold, you can place the jar in a lukewarm water bath. For a thicker yoghurt, leave it to stand for a further 5-8 hours.

6 Refrigerate for 24 hours and then flavour with a little more sugar, fresh berries, stewed fruit or fruit purée.

7 Enjoy your fresh home-made yoghurt.

The yoghurt will keep for up to two weeks in the fridge.

  VOILA!
