OUR LITTLE JUNGLE
did you guys know that bitter gourd helps fight diabetes, which means it helps fight obesity, which also means it helps us stay in shape! just a fun fact for you guys. hahaha! anywayyyyys..i told you guys before what my brother has been up to these past few months - gardening. i don't remember how or when it started, but he's really into gardening now - and he's pretty serious about it too. it may sound a bit unusual for a guy - does it? - but i say, i'd like a guy who knows how to garden. (remember Dawson from "the best of me?" i love him. watch the movie. period.) imagine having the privilege of eating the blueberries/watermelon or even plucking your guy's most hardwork roses? *insert evil smile here* so here are some photos of our little garden just outside the house, with care and love (i wanted to give him credit hahaha!) from my brothaahhh.
..watch the movie!!
the legendary bitter gourd tree
my brother said he just placed eggs there for the sake of drying them up. lol.
more decompostion happening in our little garden here
(but please beware of insects and rodents)
here is a small shelter made by none other than my brother himself for his ever lovey-dovey plants. and those tissues that you see on our calamansi tree? he said those are lacewings eggs - insects that eat bad insects.
brother : help eat bad insects for the plants. please make sure they don't get wet.
alugbati plants inside da houzz!
i guess he was inspired by the vines because he wanted the alugbati veggies to grow crawling like vines..(i didn't know that was possible)
oh and yes, another lightbulb for us because it is possible, yes it is (look there), to make plant holders using recycled plastic bottles. we better ask big bro to give us a tutorial on how to do his "diys" soon.
these are pomelo plants which don't look like they're going to last any longer.
meet mr. papaya (left) and mrs. citronella (right).
more papaya plants here! with aloe vera plants......all in one pot. (yes, it's okay.)
welcome to our little jungle.
